Indian film actress and model. Anjali was born on September 11, 1982 in Mogalikudhuru in Andhra Pradesh, India and has two brothers. She started her acting career in 2006 with the Telugu-language thriller film Photo, following which she appeared in another Telugu film Premalekha Raasa (2007), both failing to do well at the box office. Later in 2007 she debuted in Tamil with the critically acclaimed film Kattradhu Thamizh, directed by Ram, who gave her the opportunity to star in the film, when she was vainly waiting for an offer in the Telugu film industry. Though the film proved to be unsuccessful at the box-office, people took notice of Ananthi, the homely girl, which Anjali portrayed in the film and she garnered critical acclaim, was highly praised and won the Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Actress in Tamil for that year

Predominantly appearing Tamil films, Angaadi Theru and received two Filmfare Awards for Best Female Debut and Best Actress, respectively.Anjali in her second film Aayudham Seivom opposite director-turned-actor Sundar C, she enacted a glamorous role with less scope to perform, which was not well received by the audience as it was a surprise and shock as opposed to her first film, in which she gave an impressive performance. Her next release was Angaadi Theru nearly two years later only. The Vasanthabalan directed drama film released to positive reviews, whilst also fetching Anjali for her performance as a sales girl in a textile showroom high critical acclaim. Her second 2010 release was S Pictures' Rettaisuzhi, in which she shared screen with veteran directors Bharathiraja and K. Balachandar. Currently, Anjali is working on five films simultaneously.

Aayudham Seivom




Aayudham Seivom is a Tamil movie starring Sundar C and Nassar released in 2008.Saidai Sathya (Sundar C) is a hooligan who has scant respect for any law and is available for a price to commit any crime. One day he parks his car on the middle of the road and goes to sleep not bothering about the trouble the other road users are put to. Traffic constable Kandadasamy (Vivek), being on the side of Saidai Sathya, turns a blind eye to this traffic violation. A social activist and lawyer Udhayamoorthy (Vijayakumar) drags both Sathya and Kandasamy to court for obstructing traffic and causing nuisance. The court finds them guilty but instead of sentencing them to imprisonment, sends them to serve a term at the Madurai Gandhi museum for reformation. Joining them here is Meenakshi (Anjali), a college student.
